First Time Attending the National Meeting?

The American Psychoanalytic Association is thrilled to welcome you! We hope it will be the first of many more to come. Attending APsA’s National Meeting for the first time might feel overwhelming, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Keep reading for more information about what to expect and how to make the most of your time at the National Meeting.

Registration Categories & Pricing

Before the National Meeting:

Schedule an appointment with a program committee member who will review the program with you and offer suggestions regarding what sessions might be most beneficial and enjoyable to you based on your interests. To arrange this, email [email protected] with a brief bio detailing your professional background and interests. A program committee member will reach out to you via phone or email.

At the National Meeting:

Pick up a First Time Attendee ribbon to wear on your badge—it’s a great conversation starter and an easy way to connect with other attendees. Of course, wearing one is completely optional.

First Time Attendee Gathering

For those attending the meetings for the very first time join APsA staff, Executive Committee members and other first timers at this informal cocktail party. Our goal is for you to meet leadership, staff, and other attendees so you’ll recognize familiar faces throughout the rest of the meeting week!
