The Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize In Psychoanalysis and Culture

The Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize In Psychoanalysis and Culture (formerly the CORST Essay Prize) recognizes the best essay on psychoanalytically informed research in the biobehavioral sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. The winning essay will be presented at the APsA National Meeting and will be reviewed for publication by The Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

The winner of the Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize receives $1,000 and is invited, at the committee’s expense, to present at APsA’s National Meeting.

Eligibility Criteria

Essay can be no longer than 30 pages in length and should neither have been published nor submitted for publication. Submitted essays should include a cover sheet with the essay title, as well as the author’s name and contact information; neither the author’s name nor any other identifying information should appear on the subsequent pages. Please complete the entry form, including the information about where you heard about the Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize, and send it, along with submissions, to Tom Newman, Executive Director of APsA (tnewman@apsa.org).
