Edith Sabshin Teaching Awards

The Edith Sabshin Teaching Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions as educators of students who are not candidates.
The award, established in 1999, was named for a former Secretary of the Association, Edith Sabshin, and is presented by the chair of the Edith Sabshin Teaching Award Committee, a program of APsA’s Department of Academic and Professional Affairs.

Eligibility Criteria
The award is given annually to up to ten individuals (both members and non-members) who are recommended by their local societies and institutes for outstanding service in non-candidate education.
Procedure
Each September, nominations are solicited from local society presidents and institute directors. Nominations are due to APsA’s office by November 1.
