After you’ve created an account, select the “Return to Home” button. Click “Events” at the top of the screen, then “Browse Events.” Then select “2027 National Meeting” to register.
Early-bird registration opens on Tuesday, November 10 and closes on Thursday, January 7, 2027 at 11:59PM EST. Online registration (at a higher price) will continue through Wednesday, January 27 at 11:59PM EST.
The in-training member rate requires the individual to be in training at an APsA Affiliated Institute. The student/resident rate requires a valid student ID.
APsA is happy to offer continuing education (CME/CE) credits to Physicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Counselors for attending the APsA Summer Symposium.
Directly following the event, you will receive an email with your username and password and a link to the Evaluation’s Portal. Once you have logged in and completed the online evaluation, you will be able to print or email your CME/CE Certificate.
The deadline for completing the CME/CE Evaluation is Friday, March 5, 2027.

Continuing Education Statement of Objectives
This 2-hour symposium is designed for psychoanalysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists, candidates and trainees, and interdisciplinary scholars of psychoanalysis to examine the declining engagement with psychoanalysis in the field, including financial barriers, clinician burnout, training experiences, the changing and/or unclear mission of psychoanalytic education, and generational differences in culture. Panelists from different profession types, career stages, and theoretical orientations will discuss how institutional participation supports clinical development, professional identity, and community, as well as the factors that discourage involvement. Attention will be given to issues of diversity, belonging, clinician burnout, and the relevance of institutional life to current practice. The seminar will aim to identify practical approaches to strengthen participation and improve psychoanalysis relevance in patient outcomes.

With APsA’s Colleague Outreach Opportunity Program, every active member who registers in advance for the 2027 National Meeting can invite a colleague who has never been to a meeting, or has not been to a meeting in 10 years, to attend the 2027 National Meeting at no charge.

Can I receive continuing education (CME/CE) credits for this meeting?
Yes, you can receive up to 40 CME/CE credits for attending the National Meeting. Please click here for APsA’s CME/CE Statement of Objectives and Accrediting Bodies.
Is there a refund policy?
Full refunds will be issued until January 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
Starting January 8, refunds will be issued minus a 25% administrative fee.

Some sessions will be recorded and available for purchase after the meeting. Please see the list of recorded sessions.
When does pre-registration close, and will day-of registration be available?
Pre-registration opens on Tuesday, November 10, 2027, at 12:00 p.m. EST and will close on Thursday, January 7 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Online registration will continue (at a higher price) through Wednesday, January 27 at 11:50 p.m. EST.
In-person registration will be available from 8:00 a.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST in the Mayflower Hotel.

No individual or entity may electronically record any portion of this meeting without prior written consent.
Please note dogs and other pets (except for service animals) are not allowed in meeting rooms and the exhibit area during the meeting.
APsA members presenting on the scientific program are required to pay a registration fee. Non APsA members presenting on the scientific program will receive complimentary admission to the session at which they are presenting. If they wish to attend other sessions on the program, they are required to pay the appropriate registration fee.
