APsA 2027 National Meeting Call for Proposals – Deadline April 1

The American Psychoanalytic Association invites proposals for the 2027 National Meeting, taking place February 2–5, 2027, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. The National Meeting provides a forum for presenting new ideas, advancing clinical and theoretical dialogue, and fostering interdisciplinary engagement within psychoanalysis.

APsA welcomes proposals from members and non-members alike, including first-time presenters, candidates, graduate students, psychotherapists, researchers, and scholars from related disciplines. Experienced presenters, early-career analysts, and those new to the National Meeting are all encouraged to submit. You’ll be able to indicate first-time presenter status on the proposal form.

Proposals are accepted in two categories: Scientific Program sessions and Social Functions. Learn more and submit your proposal using the links below. The call for proposals will close on April 1.

Please note that the 2027 meeting schedule will differ from previous years. Administrative and committee meetings will take place on Monday, February 1, and the Scientific Program will run Tuesday, February 2 through Friday, February 5, beginning with an opening plenary on Tuesday morning and concluding Friday with a closing plenary and reception. There will be no sessions on Saturday or Sunday. All returning sessions must submit a proposal to be considered for a time slot in the 2027 program. Due to the updated schedule, previously scheduled sessions may not receive their prior time slot.
