Administrators’ Online Manual

Welcome to the Administrators’ Online Manual. In this section, you’ll find candidate forms, continuing education information, applications and other pertinent APsA administrative information.  Please note that this section is still under construction and changes will be noted below.

The Council of Executive Directors (COED) (formerly the Association of Administrators (AoA)) is comprised of the professional administrative staff of APsA’s approved training institutes, centers, and affiliate societies. The COED usually meets on the Monday and/or Tuesday of each biannual APsA meeting and provides an invaluable network of support.

All the information you need for APsA can be found in this administrators’ online manual. Please contact Debbie Steinke Wardell, your staff liaison, with any questions.

Membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association has recently (as of February 2023) expanded and now includes psychoanalysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists, academics, researchers and others – all whose work is profoundly informed by psychoanalytic theory and values.  Policies and procedures are now being developed and changes will be implemented in phases.  During this period of implementation, we thank you for your patience as we prepare for this new and exciting membership expansion. contact Debbie Steinke Wardell with any questions.

Affiliate identity branding consists of the APsA logo coupled with the words “An Affiliate of… or Approved Training Institute of…” These logos are available to societies, institutes, centers, and study groups for use on any of their printed material or websites. If you would like to use an APsA affiliate logo, please contact Tom Newman.
