Key Programs

Annual National Meeting: APsA holds an annual National Meeting (usually in late January and early February) where members present research, network, and discuss training and membership.

Virtual Annual Meeting: APsA hosts a virtual Annual Meeting each June where members present research and discuss training and membership.

Education & Training: Through the Department of Psychoanalytic Education (DPE), APsA maintains high educational standards for psychoanalytic training, with rigorous curricula in its approved institutes.

Public Education & Outreach: Affiliated societies and institutes host public-facing events to share psychoanalytic ideas; APsA publishes a peer-reviewed journal, Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association (JAPA), another publication The American Psychoanalyst (TAP) is published for a general audience, and The CAI Report: Insights and Commentary at the Intersection of Psychoanalysis and AI is published for individuals interested in a psychoanalytic perspective on AI. APsA also produces the podcast Psychoanalysis & You with Gail Saltz as host.
