Tuition Support Award
The Advanced Practice in Nursing Tuition Support Award is for two (2) awards of $750 each that will be awarded to two Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. This award is for tuition-based costs only, paid directly to the program, for any APsA-affiliated training program, such as a psychoanalytic psychotherapy program or psychoanalytic training program. This award is not for conference fees, travel, or short-term programs such as single courses.

Eligibility
For this award, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is defined as a licensed, graduate-prepared Certified Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Certified Nurse Midwife in psychoanalytic or psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at an APsA-approved institute or APsA affiliate society during the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants pursuing psychoanalytic training will be prioritized.
Please note: This award is for tuition only for the academic year of 2026-2027. The award is paid directly to the APsA training institute.
Tuition Support Application Materials
Applicants are required to send the following materials:
- Personal Statement not more than two pages single-spaced detailing relevant professional interest in becoming a psychoanalytic psychotherapist or psychoanalyst. If consideration of financial need is present, please include it in this section.
- Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Enrollment certification letter from APsA institute/society
- One recommendation letter from a psychoanalytic supervisor or colleague (cannot be personal psychoanalyst or psychotherapist)
