APsA Transitions Annual Meeting to New Summer Symposium Format
April 27, 2026 — New York, NY — The American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA) today announced that its Annual Meeting will transition to a new format beginning in 2026. The 115th Annual Meeting will be presented as the APsA Summer Symposium, taking place online on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 PM EST.
This change reflects the evolution of APsA’s summer programming in recent years. As the Annual Meeting has become more streamlined, with fewer sessions and a more concentrated scope, APsA is formalizing that shift into a focused online symposium model. The Summer Symposium will center on a single theme, offering a more targeted and in-depth learning experience for participants.
The transition also aligns with APsA’s broader approach to educational programming. Instead of a multi-session online experience, the Summer Symposium was developed to complement APsA’s existing portfolio of meetings, symposia, and educational offerings by providing a concise, accessible format tailored to member interests.
Additional details about the 2026 Summer Symposium program will be announced in the coming weeks.
