Congratulations to the 2025 Advanced Practice in Nursing Tuition Support Award Recipients

New York, NY — November 19, 2025 — The American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA) and its Advanced Practice in Nursing Committee are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 Advanced Practice in Nursing Tuition Support Award, a program dedicated to supporting Advanced Practice Registered Nurses pursuing psychoanalytic or psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at APsA-affiliated institutes. 

This year’s awardees, selected through a competitive application process, each receive $750 in tuition support, paid directly to their training programs for the 2025–2026 academic year. The 2025 recipients, listed alphabetically by last name, are: Nadège Dorcelly, DNP, PMHNP-BC and Ubaka Ojiba, MSN, PMHNP. 

Nadège Dorcelly is attending the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program, Psychoanalytic Association of New York (PANY) and said “Receiving this award enables me to deepen my education in psychoanalytic psychotherapy while alleviating financial pressures, allowing me to devote myself more fully to my studies.”

Ubaka Ojiba is attending the Community Psychoanalysis Certificate Program, Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP) and said “This award provides me with the opportunity to deepen my psychoanalytic training at WBCP, enriching both my clinical practice and my academic growth. With this support, I will be better prepared to integrate psychoanalytic perspectives into advanced nursing practice and to expand access to thoughtful, equitable mental health care in the communities I serve.”

About the Advanced Practice in Nursing Tuition Support

Since 2024, the Advanced Practice in Nursing Tuition Support Award, sponsored by the APsA Advanced Practice in Nursing Committee, has provided two annual awards to eligible Advanced Practice Registered Nurses enrolled in an APsA-approved training program. The award supports tuition costs only and is intended to encourage advanced psychoanalytic education among nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse midwives seeking in-depth training. Applications for the next award cycle are due July 31, 2026. Required materials include a personal statement, current CV, enrollment certification, and a letter of recommendation. Awards are prioritized for applicants pursuing psychoanalytic training.
