Committee Type: Psychotherapy Department
Description: The mission of this group is to advance psychodynamic psychotherapy by expanding psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapists; participation in APsA via education, outreach and networking events. We provide Psychotherapist Members with opportunities to get involved in APsA as well as educational programs for Psychotherapists. Continuing education programs include a twice-yearly Discussion Group, Psychotherapists Present; and the Committee-Sponsored Workshop on; The Business of Practice. As part of APsA's Psychotherapy Department, we collaborate with the Committee on Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Programs (COPPTP), have representation on the Membership and Scientific Program Committees, interface with the Fellowship Committee and more.
