Committee Type: Administrative Governance
Description: The Committee on Bylaws is responsible for reviewing the Bylaws of the Association and amendments that are proposed. It evaluates them for consistency, accuracy, relevance to current organizational practice, correct language, and (through appropriate legal consultation) compatibility with New York Not-for-Profit Corporation law and other applicable law. It may recommend modifications which are submitted to the Executive Council for discussion and potential action and then presented to the membership for a vote.
