STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
The scientific sessions of the American Psychoanalytic Association’s meetings are intended to bridge the practice gaps in the professional knowledge of attendees by exploring new and recent developments in research, theory, technique, clinical knowledge and by offering opportunities for the review of essential psychoanalytic knowledge. These sessions are designed for the continuing education of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, other mental health professionals; professionals-in-training, and master’s level students; as well as post-doctoral mental health clinicians, nurses, teachers, professionals and academics in mental health and non-mental health disciplines. This meeting offers two panel discussions with experienced psychoanalysts, each with many years of clinical, teaching and writing experience and a presentation by an eminent scholar in the field.
