APsA Announces Fellowship Portal Opening for 2026 – 2027 Class
The American Psychoanalytic Association is pleased to announce that the Fellowship portal is now open for applications to the 2026–2027 class.
APsA’s Fellowship Program supports early-career professionals who demonstrate strong potential as future leaders and educators in academia, mental health, psychiatry, psychology, social work, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary endeavors. Fellows gain concentrated exposure to psychoanalytic ideas while engaging with both local and national psychoanalytic communities.
Benefits for First-Time Applicants
All first-time applicants receive complimentary registration to APsA’s 115th Virtual Annual Meeting (June 2026) and the 2027 National Meeting (late January to early February 2027, location TBD).
Benefits for Fellowship Winners
Selected Fellows will receive travel, hotel (double occupancy), and meals for the 2027 National Meeting. Fellows attend scientific sessions and may present clinical, research, or other scholarly work in a range of seminars and workshops. Each Fellow is paired with an APsA-appointed mentor, with the option to request a second mentor for additional professional support. Winners also receive subscriptions to several psychoanalytic publications and join a national network of APsA members and Fellows.
