2025 National Meeting First Time Attendees
Is This Your First Time?
The American Psychoanalytic Association is thrilled to welcome you to your first APsA meeting. We hope it will be the first of many more to come. By choosing to attend, you are making a valuable investment in expanding and developing your professional knowledge and skills. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with a terrific group of people.
Attending APsA’s National Meeting for the first time might feel overwhelming, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered:
Before the meeting:
• Schedule an appointment with a program committee member who will review the program with you and offer suggestions regarding what sessions might be most beneficial and enjoyable to you based on your interests. To arrange this, email [email protected] with a brief bio detailing your professional background and interests. A program committee member will reach out to you via phone or email.
At the meeting:
• Join us for the First Time Attendee Cocktail Gathering on Tuesday, February 4 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for a cocktail and hors d’oeurves. This is a great opportunity to meet APsA staff, Executive Committee members and other first time attendees. Make sure to register for the First Time Attendee Cocktail Gathering when you register for the meeting.
• Pick up a First Time Attendee ribbon to wear on your badge if you’d like – it’s a great conversation starter. Of course, you’re welcome to go incognito, if you prefer.
