In-Person and Virtual Meeting Policies
I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking participation in APsaA’s events and activities as my own free and intentional act, and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my participation in these events. I give this acknowledgement freely and knowingly and that I am, as a result, able to participate in APsaA’s meeting, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being and safety.
By registering for and attending APsaA’s events, I hereby agree that I accept the terms stated above and indemnify and hold harmless APsaA, its affiliates and their respective directors, employees and agents (including, without limitation, any agent acting on its behalf) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from attendance at APsaA’s events.
Code of Conduct
It is the policy of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) that all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, APsaA staff, volunteers, invited guests and all other participants at APsaA meetings both in-person or online will conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or disruption. APsaA is committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all meeting attendees regardless of age, religion, race, color, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other individual characteristics.
Any participant experiencing an unwanted situation should immediately report the incident to an APsaA staff member who will contact the Scientific Program and Meetings Director and APsaA’s Executive Director.
Consequences of unacceptable behavior may range from a verbal warning, ejection from the meeting (without a refund), being banned from future APsaA events or notifying appropriate authorities.
Any questions or comments regarding this code should be directed to APsaA’s Executive Director.
APsaA, its contractors and attending news media may be photographing or videotaping scientific sessions and events at the conference. By attending this meeting, attendees acknowledge these activities and agree to allow their image to be used by APsaA in association publications, on the APsaA website, and in marketing and promotional materials. Attendees at this meeting waive all claims against APsaA for any liability resulting from these uses.
