Over the course of the next year, APsaA will issue a series of position statements on the mental health and the military. Already, APsaA has issued the following position statement regarding veterans:
When the War Comes Home
The next position statement to be issued relates to the "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" policy regarding gays and lesbians in the military and will be considered during APsaA's Winter 2009 Meeting.
Subsequent position statements will address the needs of children and families and the need for long term treatment and long term access to treatment.
As the position statements are issued, APsaA will announce them on this page and will publicize them to the public.
