Eligibility
Applicants seeking funding for a research proposal, a small consultative grant, or a career award should meet the following criteria:
- Proposal relevant to psychoanalysis (see "Goals" for broad interpretation)
- An applicant is either a new applicant to the Fund or resubmitting a previously reviewed application; applicants who have received $80,000 total from the Fund are ordinarily not eligible to apply again. Exceptions may be made to this rule and applicants are encouraged to contact the chairman of the fund if they have questions about the applicability of this limit. The Fund regrets setting this limit on total funding for any one applicant but does so in general because of overall limited funds to be awarded and in the spirit of diversification and encouraging applicants from multiple areas and levels of expertise to reapply.
- Applicant has a masters degree or higher.
- For Revised, resubmissions: The Fund accepts revisions of a previously submitted application up to four years after the previous submission date. Up to two revised submissions may be submitted within four years of the original submission date.
- Human subject protection and consent procedures must be specified for research studies involving ongoing data collection.
- Note that previous funding does not guarantee funding of subsequent submissions.
