Your career can be enriched by membership in APsaA which offers a broad range of member benefits from a quarterly magazine and members-only email discussions to opportunities for networking with senior analysts and candidates. Membership supports APsaA's advocacy efforts for privacy as well as initiatives to advance psychoanalysis — issues that are important to the psychoanalytic profession.
Am I eligible for membership in APsaA?
Membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association is currently available to psychoanalytic candidates and psychoanalytic graduates of APsaA Accredited Training Institutes and New Training Facilities and members of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) or graduates of an institute of an IPA component society. APsaA and IPA psychoanalytic graduates can click on the Active Member link below for information on joining and psychoanalytic candidates can click on the Candidate Member link. APsaA also has an application for psychoanalytic graduates of the William Alanson White Institute. WAWI graduates can click on the Active Member link for information on joining.
In addition, APsaA has a pathway to membership for individual Psychoanalysts who have fully trained outside of APsaA/IPA accredited Institutes and the William Alanson White Institute. Please click on the Active Member link below for information on joining and to download an application.
