APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 
2008-2009 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM


Please make sure to check the eligibility criteria before continuing.

THE APPLICATION CONSISTS OF:

1) A two page form to be filled out online, printed, and mailed with your fellowship package.

2) A Curriculum Vitae

3) A personal statement of three to six double-spaced pages describing the points below. Nominees must have demonstrated leadership ability in past activities. 

  1. special aptitude or interest in psychodynamic clinical endeavors, in research related to psychoanalytic topics, in applied psychoanalysis and/or in the teaching of psychoanalytic concepts. Applications must demonstrate how the nominee's interest in the mind has developed and propose how this interest will be applied in the future.
  2. career and other intellectual interests and goals.
  3. personal and historical information.

 

4) A nomination letter from the Chairperson, or Training, Research or Program Director indicating reasons for choosing you as a nominee. If not applicable, please send a letter of support from a supervisor, faculty or senior colleague instead of the nomination letter.

5) Additional letters of support from two faculty members or supervisors. 

  • Please do not send other materials or additional letters. There should be a total of three letters included in your application.
  • Materials should not be folded or stapled.
  • In your package, please arrange the five parts of the application in the same order as they are listed above.

THE COMPLETE APPLICATION MUST ARRIVE

BY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2008 IN ONE PACKET TO:
